‘Like a Dragon: Yakuza’ trailer brings SEGA’s Japanese gangster recreation to life

Prime Video has launched the official trailer for Like a Dragon: Yakuza, providing a peek on the new live-action adaptation of SEGA’s in style online game sequence. It seems as if we’ll get to see a variety of the beat em’ up motion that the video games are identified for.

To not be confused with Yakuza: Like a Dragon, the six-episode motion sequence follows Japanese gangster Kiryu Kazuma (Kamen Rider‘s Takeuchi Ryoma) in each 1995 and 2005. In 1995, Kiryu and his mates plan a heist which places them within the path of the Dojima Household, a strong yakuza organisation who run Kamurocho’s underworld. The heist in all probability would not go all that nicely, contemplating that ten years later Kiryu is being launched from jail. Even so, it appears his violent days are nonetheless removed from over, with Kiryu returning to Kamurocho to guard his mates after studying that they’re in peril.

It is not clear whether or not Like a Dragon: Yakuza will embody a few of the famously bizarre and humorous components which make the video games so distinctive. Nonetheless, judging from a fast shot of two girls in formal apparel, it seems as if the fan-favourite cabaret membership minigame will at the very least get a shout out. Fingers crossed we’ll additionally get to see Kiryu making an attempt each single tonkatsu joint within the metropolis.
