AppleTV+’s Peabody-winning drama Pachinko returns Aug. 23, and its first trailer will certainly have you ever misty-eyed.
Season 2 picks up the story of Sunja (Minha Kim and Yuh-Jung Youn) and her household in two completely different timelines: Osaka in 1945, and Tokyo in 1989.
In 1945, Sunja should make tough choices to make sure her and her kids’s survival throughout World Conflict II. Because the trailer reveals, a reunion with Koh Hansu (Lee Minho), the daddy of her first baby, can also be within the playing cards.
In the meantime, in 1989, Sunja’s grandson Solomon (Jin Ha) is attempting to struggle his approach again into the cutthroat enterprise world he left behind in Season 1.
The trailer weaves each tales along with the assistance of a “Viva La Vida” cowl by BLACKPINK‘s Rosé, which Apple mentioned in a press launch would even be used within the Season 2 finale.
Pachinko Season 2 premieres Aug. 23 on AppleTV+, with new episodes each Friday.
